FREEZE CHARTS PRODUCED USING THE BOVet CREATIONS FREEZERS IN THE TAYLOR WHARTON CP190 (NOW CP300) SHIPPER WITH 1 ADDED BLOCK SCREWED ON

Chart speed is 4 inches per hour.

Large Freezer and Stabilizer LN2 @ 9.5cm.  Hold for seeding at stem #5.  Freeze @ 10, 11 & 12.  Avg. Freeze Rate = .58°C/min.  Rm T = 86°F

Large Freezer and Stabilizer LN2 @ 12cm.  Hold for seeding at stem #5.  Freeze @ 12, 12.75 & 13.75.  Avg. Freeze Rate = .63°C/min.  Rm T = 85°F

Large Freezer and Stabilizer LN2 @ 3cm.  This freezer has 2 blocks added on.  Hold for seeding at stem #1.  Freeze @ 9 & 10.  Avg. Freeze Rate = .57°C/min.  Rm T = 95°F

OBSERVATIONS

The added block allows production of very straight curves with one or 2 changes during freeze.

The bottom chart was made with 2 blocks added to the freezer.  At 95°F the holding location was the first hole in the stem.  At lower and more reasonable temperatures, holding at -6°C would be above the top of the tank.  Therefore, the 2nd block is not a practical addition for this tank.
